\nHoy estamos celebrando el d\u00eda de Los Abuelos en Logos Nursery. Hemos invitado a los abuelos de nuestros alumnos a pasar el d\u00eda con nosotros, hemos celebrado un Eucarist\u00eda, los alumnos han realizado diferentes representaciones, despu\u00e9s los abuelos han pasado por las clases, ahora mismo se encuentran realizando diferentes talleres junto a sus nietos, el mas numeroso, el de realizaci\u00f3n de rosquillas. Y por \u00faltimo compartiremos un estupendo cocido madrile\u00f1o. Todas estas actividades estar\u00e1n amenizadas por un Organillo antiguo.<\/p>\n
Last Friday, May 13th, we celebrated our “Grandparents Day” inviting our Grandparents to our “San Isidro’s Celebration” at School: We all dressed in our\u00a0traditional dress \u2026. In Spanish if someone is described as \u201cchulo\u201d it\u2019s quite a derogatory term meaning that they\u2019re full of themselves. Madrile\u00f1os are often described as \u201cchulo\u201d by people from other parts of Spain. The name of the traditional Madrile\u00f1o costume is a \u201cchulapo\u201d which comes from the word \u201cchulo\u201d. Around the school you could\u00a0see organ grinders (barquilleros) in their San Isidro costumes selling traditional sweet snacks called \u201cbarquillos\u201d, workshops We have had too much fun preparing all the workshops for that day and we enjoyed a lot The Celebration.<\/p>\n
