EVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT at 3 YEARS

In the second cycle, 3-6 year olds, we arrive at the preoperative stage (Piaget) in which intelligence is already symbolic but its operations still lack structuralism.

They have the capacity to handle the world in a symbolic way or through representations and can think of missing events or people. This is an accelerated period of language.

Children begin to speak using words referring to their current activity and desires, these become truly representational. They also begin to use numbers as a tool of thought according to their evolutionary structures, learning rhythms and activities, not only vary in different ages, but also in different students reaching common goals once each of them they are advancing in their evolutionary development.

Desarrollo evolutivo en los tres años

In 3 years the linguistic immersion in English is complete and pupils begin to handle the language in a natural way.

All their curricular activities: psychomotricity, music, swimming are carried out in English.

“When we learn a language we also learn another culture and this makes us more respectful towards others”

Lunch

Special dietary requirements such as allergies and gluten intolerance are met. Also, the texture of the food is taken into account and is served either as pureed, crushed or in solid form according to the age and development of each child.

Lunch-time schedule is from 12:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and a snack is served at 4:15 p.m.

If a pupil still does not feel comfortable with solid food, his /her food can be adapted and either be crushed or pureed to the child’s taste. This measure assures us that the child eats the corresponding quantities for a correct physical development. We follow the guide-lines od paediatricians so as to be able to diagnose all types of abnormalities related to food.

If on any given day a child’s menu has to be changed, the tutor will inform our kitchen staff, who will immediate prepare the necessary food, as all our meals are cooked on the premises.

All pupils will receive a detailed daily report on what and how they have eaten that day.

Time to rest
  • After lunch pupils can take a nap in the relaxation area which is designated exclusively for this purpose. A sleeping mat is assigned to each student from the beginning to the end of the course and always the same one is used.
  • The mat is identified with the pupil’s name, group and photo. The sheets will be supplied by the school, changed and washed in the laundry twice.

Nursery Projects

As of this moment, all activities and projects will be carried out in English:  pupils will be exposed to a complete immersion system, where their whole day will be a 100%  English.

School route

After 3 years we offer route service to different points. You can consult them here All families that have children in both centers (Cantizal and Molino) can access the INTERNAL ROUTE (between centers) for FREE.

My backpack

What do I have to bring to school? At the beginning of the course:

  • 5 bibs with t-shirt collar
  • 1 complete change of clothes

If it has been necessary to change the pupil, the backpack will be returned on Friday.

In the backpack:

  • Over shirt ( babi Logos)

On Wednesday the dirty over-shirt (babi) will be returned and it should be replaced by a clean one. The bibs will stay in the centre and will be washed every day in our laundry, at the end of the course they are discarded.

Swimming pool backpack (from 2 years upwards):

  • Swim suit and swim cap (Logos uniform)
  • Flip-flops or rubber sandals
  • Towel
  • Comb or hair brush

This backpack is brought to school only on the day of swimming class. It will be handed over to parents at the end of the day.

I'm sick: What do we do?
  • When a pupil becomes ill at school, parents are notified immediately. If the antipyretic medication form has been signed and authorized, medication will be given while waiting for parents to arrive and collect their child.
  • Pupils will not be able to return to the school until 24 hours without fever or without medication has transpired. This measure is taken to preserve the well-being of all pupils and to prevent the contagion of other children.
  • No medication will be administered without the corresponding medical prescription.
Excursions

Excursions are made to the farm, the theater and to some exhibition, so we will familiarize ourselves with events of all kinds. The excursions are included in the monthly payment.
