The Garden Project aims to reconnect children to nature with a 21st century framework of learning. The activities are all inspired by nature: taking care of the school garden, going out to pick fallen leaves…to remind children and teachers that everything begins and ends with nature. Nothing is more inspiring than nature!
Applying a STEAM framework the children are guided into discovering how nature works and where their food comes from. Skills like categorization, observation and problem-solving are worked using Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM). Every activity highlights the adopted STEAM disciplines and how it interconnects with another discipline.
The Garden Project also has a strong social emotional component, as our planet’s future ambassadors it´s important that children develop life skills that encourage collaboration and harmonious living within our environment.
