The summer is over, but Logos International School students have returned to the routine full of new and exciting experiences that have helped them to grow. The students of the first year of Bachillerato de Logos have lived an unforgettable experience this summer, and they have had the opportunity to make the Camino de Santiago with effort and enthusiasm.

The adventure began on June 30, when they arrived in Ferrol to start the English Way in the company of their teachers Vicente, Ana and Jorge, and the school priest Pepe, waiting for them in Santiago. A few days of coexistence and an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives, which culminated with their arrival in Santiago on July 6.

You are never too young to do the Camino de Santiago. Numerous school groups and families with children embark on this adventure every year, which, with its pros and cons, is always worthwhile.

Essential tips for the Camino de Santiago with children

  • Foot care. Proper footwear is essential for all pilgrims, but especially for children, who will refuse to take another step if they are not comfortable with the shoes they are wearing. The premises are: waterproof, comfortable and previously worn.
  • Don't forget your raincoat. There is nothing more uncomfortable than walking with wet clothes and hair, so it is best to always carry this accessory in your backpack to face all kinds of inclement weather.
  • Prepare the backpack. Although it is recommended that children carry their own backpack, the weight of it should be according to their own size and weight. In it they can carry water, a raincoat, a change of clothes and some games.
  • A balanced diet. This is a must to face the walk with energy, it is the best guarantee of a good physical condition.
