What is educational diversity?
Diversity is one of the characteristics of human behavior. This is manifested in people's way of life, ways and ways of thinking. It is perceptible in the classrooms and in the students who live there.
Such is our case at Logos Nursery School, where we constantly live in a multicultural environment. Therefore, educational diversity is one of our most frequent topics of discussion.
Through two lines of work, such as cultural activities and festivals and traditions, we increase the students' knowledge of cultural differences and respect for each one of them. Thus, just as in the home and in society, it is important to take diversity into account in educational centers. In this way, values such as tolerance and critical thinking of each student are strengthened.
Importance of educational diversity in the school
In order to develop a school with a potentially bright student population, it is necessary to foster the capacity for acceptance of educational diversity. For the richness and understanding of this tool is not only based on acceptance, but can also be used for the development of children's learning.
An educational center concerned about diversity is an institution full of bright students full of good principles and, above all, moral ethics.
In short, educational diversity fosters understanding and solidarity among students. Leaving aside the different forms of current discrimination, such as race, class, gender, or disability. This will allow students to be able to relate and improve their interpersonal development regardless of their condition and that of others.
